Introduction of the Director
Supporting the health of the local community in Ropponmatsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, with 15 years of clinical experience.
Hello, my name is Teshima, and I am the director of Teshima Acupuncture & Osteopathic Clinic.
I have been rooted in Ropponmatsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka, since my grandfather’s generation, working as a healthcare professional dedicated to supporting the health of the local community. Over the years, I have treated more than 45,000 patients, striving to address the root causes of pain and discomfort.
Qualifications
Licensed Judo Therapist (National License)
Licensed Acupuncturist (National License)
Licensed Moxibustion Practitioner (National License)
Why I Became a Practitioner: Personal Experience of Being “Saved”
After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Aoyama Gakuin University, I initially worked as a salaried employee. However, I suffered from severe neck and shoulder pain, headaches, temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), and related health issues.
Despite visiting numerous orthopedic and dental clinics, my condition did not improve. It was acupuncture, osteopathy, and other treatments that finally helped me recover. Because my symptoms were deep-rooted, I studied anatomy and traditional Chinese medicine, treating myself through trial and error, and eventually fully recovered.
Driven by the desire to help those who have “given up because nothing works,” I trained at clinics across Japan, continuously pursuing treatments based on anatomical evidence and proven methods.
Specialties and Treatment Focus
With 15 years of clinical experience, I have achieved significant results in treating:
Neck and shoulder stiffness, headaches, and arm numbness
Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ)
Body misalignment, pelvic correction, and postnatal pelvic care
Traffic accident injuries (supporting auto insurance claims and working with affiliated lawyers)
Supporting Musicians’ Unique Physical Needs
As a hobbyist guitarist and bassist, I understand the physical strains specific to musicians. I provide support for hand and finger issues and posture-related body misalignment, combining the perspectives of both a performer and a practitioner. By optimizing the flow of nerves and muscles, I help you make the most of your performance.
Hobbies and Lifestyle
I believe a healthy body is built through daily habits, and I personally practice an organic lifestyle.
Music: Guitar, bass, piano
Outdoor activities: Hiking, strength training, sports, driving, motorcycling
Culture: Visiting art museums and historical exhibitions, historical research
Food: Growing pesticide-free, organic vegetables
